1978 Arts Center is self-sustaining and programs are organized by volunteers. We appreciate your donations to help keep the center going. Donations should be made payable to:

Friends of Maplewood Recreation is a tax exempt organization under IRC 501c(3) and all contributions are deductible as allowed by law.

Donations can be earmarked for specific funds: The Bernard M. Frank Memorial Fund or The Lawrence Kramer Memorial Fund. Please make a note on your check. Donations to The Bernard M. Frank Memorial Fund will be used for various operational expenses. The Lawrence Kramer Memorial Fund will be used to supplement the cost of photography classes for children at 1978 Arts Center.

We mourn the loss of these two supporters of the arts and will continue to use the funds to honor their memory.

discounts on purchases & classes. An invitation to a Friends event, 1978 Large Art Tee (shirt)… discounts at participating arts-related shops and schools.

Family annual $50
All the above benefits for 2 adults and all children under 18 and two 1978 Large Art Tee (shirts).

Patron annual $100 All the above benefits of a Family Membership, an invitation to a 1978 event in an artists home and 2 tickets to the annual Artists Studio Tour (first Sunday in June).

$200 additional would subsidize 4 seniors for our popular Water Color Class

$400 additional would subsidize 4 young students for Photography or Write About Art classes
