Juan Antonio Picasso, who resides in Havana and is a descendant of Pablo Picasso, was invited to be the featured artist to celebrate Black History Month at 1978 Maplewood Arts Center.

 

Off the Shelf : A Tribute to June Cater

Gallery 1978 remembers our good friend and mentor, June Cater, who passed away this past April 2016. She gifted the building, which now houses 1978 Maplewood Arts Center, to the Township of Maplewood in 2000.
